Hugs From Him (one minute devotional)

There are some days when you just know God totally loves you. Yesterday was one of those days. While driving earlier that morning I prayed and asked Him to give me a special revelation of His great love for me. Being the faithful, lover of my heart that He is, The Almighty Powerful Creator reached out and  hugged me through the women I was ministering to. Not just a little nonchalant pat on the back but real tight, long hugs. Hugs that told me I am appreciated, respected and loved. Hugs that said “I’m glad to see you.”

The blessing continued when I spoke with a new friend on the phone that afternoon. This was an appointment we’ve had for about a week. Neither of us knew what to expect but believed God was connecting us for a purpose. I went into it thinking I could help her somehow but as the conversation progressed I KNEW He ordained that moment for me. She spoke truth, encouragement and spurred me on to continue in my calling even when it seems fruitless. My Father spoke through her to let me know He sees me, and cares enough to have a woman from California (whom I have only met recently through Facebook) call to encourage me to keep moving on. It is unfathomable that He went to those lengths for ME! I’m grateful Holly listened. Thank You Father for hearing me, answering me and bathing me in Your lavish abundant grace.

Ephesians 3:17-19 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Can you see why I love and serve my God? Think about it, how has He revealed His love to you lately?
